As for your hood question. I suggest you just getting a used OEM hood locally or from someone here. It will not only be cheaper, but it will also be lighter. Yes...the stock aluminum hoods are lighter than our carbon fiber ones. Reason being, there are no REAL lightweight dry carbon hoods that are made for our car. If you own an NSX or some other cars out there you can get really good quality carbon fiber hoods for a couple thousand dollars, but for us sadly there is not even that option. Our "carbon" hoods are just fiberglass hoods that are then covered with carbon to look cool. Actually I think there is ONE semi good option out there, and that is the Border hood. It is nice looking and I believe no heavier than stock, but at over $1000 in price and the fact that they are very hard to get here in america, I suggest you just sticking with stock. Plus, with stock you won't need hood pins. With ALL the other aftermarket ones except the Border hood, you need hood pins. Now as far as you wanting a front plastic windshield...sorry, but that's just stupid. Not only will it not be legal, but it's also not as safe in acrash, and it will scratch unlike glass...Do you really want a scratched up hazy front windsheild for weight savings of only a few pounds. Once again, for this, just stick with stock. By the way, how old are you?
